Hunter Guide - Ranged weapons!

Hunters are the guys who used ranged weapons, shurikens and throwing knives are what you want to go for, shurikens have alot of attacks, but quite low damage, knives have a decent amount of attacks and fairly high damage.

Until the point where you can get a legendary crossbow of reaction for expo's you'll want to stick to those.

Tattoo requirements:

LEVEL 1 : helmet defence min 1, armour defence min 3, pants defence min 1
LEVEL 2 : helmet defence min 2, armour defence min 6, pants defence min 2
LEVEL 3 : helmet defence min 3, armour defence min 9, pants defence min 3
LEVEL 4 : helmet defence min 4, armour defence min 12, pants defence min 4
LEVEL 5 : helmet defence min 5, armour defence min 15, pants defence min 5

This means at level 5 your helmet has to have a minimum of 5 defence, your armour a minimum of 15 and your pants a min of 5, if you don't have this or over your tattoo's will not work.

Your tattoo's are:

Strong Arm - This gives you a chance for critical hit with range weapons, at level 1 it's 4% and it goes upto 25% at level 5.

Rain of Arrows - Weapon damage, at level 1 it's +2 and it goes upto +11 damage at level 5.

These are the cheaper tattoos costing 1k pop for level 1, 2k for level 2, 3k for level 3 and so on. You will also need to give stones aswell as pop while upgrading your tattoo, it goes as the following - 1bs for level 1, 1hs for 2, 1ls for 3, 1ms for 4 and 1ss for 5.

You have two additional tattoo's that are very expensive, these range at level 1 from 4.5k pop and 2bs upto level 5 which is 22.5k pop and 2SS. though these are very expensive, they are usually very worth it.

Camouflage - this gives you an extra chance to critical hit, at level 5 it's 10%, but whats worth it is that level 5 of this tattoo is able to stop the opponent from not being able to attack in the first round of combat.

Forest lore - at level 1 this gives 4% experience bonus and it goes upto 20% at level 5.

Gear!

As a ranger, your gear has to have decent perception AND agility. Your combined level of these two skills has to be greater than your opponents combined levels so you have a good chance to hit them.

So with this in mind, you can go one of two ways, agility based with decent perception, or perception based with decent agility?
With the first (agility) you'll be able to avoid more attacks from assassins and bk's and hit them alot as they have such low perception, which is quite a good advantage as there are alot.

the second, perception based, you will be more successful in ambushes so you'll be able to hit high level gunners and snipers which may prove an easy target and source of alot of exp.

each have their advantages so it's completely upto you. Heres an example of some range gear -

Bandanna of precognition
Cape of death sower
Elvish shorts
Ring of youth x2
amulet of accuracy
Shuriken of reaction

This in itself isn't a bad set up and would do you to level 50/mid 50's if upgraded, the weapon you should choose should have the reaction suffix, it's got agility + perception bonus with a massive chance of a critical hit.

You can choose from shuriken for more hits, or throwing knife for more damage.

I'll add more as I go on :3 hope this helps some of you for now.
