Assassin Guide!- Stealthy 1h Melee or 2h Gun

First and foremost, you have your tattoo's and each has a certain armour requirement.

For example, assassin' requirements go like this:

LEVEL 1 : helmet defence max 3, armour defence max 6, pants defence max 3
LEVEL 2 : helmet defence max 6, armour defence max 12, pants defence max 6
LEVEL 3 : helmet defence max 9, armour defence max 18, pants defence max 9
LEVEL 4 : helmet defence max 12, armour defence max 24, pants defence max 12
LEVEL 5 : helmet defence max 15, armour defence max 30, pants defence max 15

This means that if you want to have a level 5 in the tattoo, your helmets maximum defence must be 15 or under, if it's not the tattoo will not work.

This is to ensure players cannot build super assassins with amazing critical hit chance, 1h weapons + massive defence.

The assassin tattoo mainly works towards 1h Melee weapons, but it's also 2h gun friendly. The tattoo's go a bit like this..

Anatomy expert - Chance for critical strike on level 1 is 4%, this can, and will at level 5 go upto 25% chance of a critical hit.

Deadly precision - Ignores 4% of your opponents defence, this goes up to 20% at level 5.

These two are the cheaper tattoo's, costing at level 1, 1k pop and 1bs, level 2 is 2k pop and 1hs, level 3 is 3k pop and 1ls, level 4 is 4k pop and 1ms and finally level 5 is 5k pop andd 1ss.

Each level adds 1k of experience needed for the next, plus the higher stone which ranges from 1bs - 1ss.

There are a two additional tattoos which are quite pricey, but in the end very worth it.

Deadly efficacy - At level 1, this gives 1% chance for a critical hit and +2 weapon damage, this at level 5 will increase to 5% chance of a critical hit and +11 weapons damage.

Daredevil - This tattoo is always on, with everything you get exp for, it adds an extra 4% experience points to what you should be getting, this goes from 4% - 18% at level 5, so it's worth investing in it at a low level for maximum effectiveness.

These two tattoo's are very expensive, they start at 4.5k pop and 2bs and go upto 22.5k pop with 2ss at level 5, so it is very pricey.

GEAR.

The usual set up I see in BW today, which ranges from quite a low level to mid 50's if it's upgraded nicely is;

Cap/hat/something of Adrenaline, this adds strength and agility.
Elvish cape or Cape of death sower - Agility/ agility + weapon damage.
Elvish shorts - Agility
Ring/signets of youth - Agility and strength.
Amulet of levitation/accuracy - Agility/str and pure agility.

The weapons are upto what kind of assassin you want to be, you can go for high agility weapons so you'll virtually be unhittable but you'll have pretty weak damage, or you can go for a more damage based assassin and sacrifice agility for weapon damage.

It's also upto you have you get a knife/dagger/thunderfist. Some are alot lower requirements than the other and are quite a bit easier to use, but weapons like the thunderfist which are generally difficult to use at lower levels advance by having an extra attack as you upgrade them.

It's important to conserve your stones, use the auction. Theres no point in upgrading a weapon to good, if that weaopn itself is only worth 1bs.

I'd give the advice to lower levels of looking out for the understand cheaper agility weapons. Light is a good prefix and hitting/agility a suffix.
Murderous is also good for extra crit chance, and suicide for damage, though suicide suffix gives you 0 armour.

I'll try and add more as I think of it. hopefully this helps some what in the mean time.
